Valentine’s Day Restaurant Online Ordering Sales Set Sweet Record Sales

Who knew that Valentine’s Day would be a great day for online ordering?  Turns out it was the best Wednesday EVER, by far, for our EZ-Chow restaurant partners.  Digging into the trends, we see that 34% of consumers plan to eat out on February 14th, making it the second busiest day of the year for restaurants.  Online ordering is often used to order ahead while dining in, to reduce wait times.  Even though it fell on a Wednesday this year, the numbers show a lot of love for dining out.

And although many people say they want an experience on Valentine’s Day, more than half opt to stay at home.  Turns out, “Netflix and chill” has become so popular that many people would rather kick back, order takeout and binge watch Stranger Things than get dressed up and go out.

By offering online ordering, you are opening up options to these consumers.  Delivery or take out provides the convenience and simplicity of eating a delicious meal in the comfort of their home.  Now that’s a sweetheart of a gift to your customers and your bottom line!
